World-Class facilities

We’ll provide you with the very best care. Our hospital offers the latest medical technologies in a thoughtfully designed environment, supporting your wellbeing and recovery.

State-of-the-art healthcare

Our four modern operating theatres are equipped with laminar flow systems. These systems are designed to provide a continuous flow of filtered air, which helps to minimise the risk of airborne infection during surgeries. This is particularly beneficial for orthopaedic and more complex procedures as it enhances the sterility of the operating environment.

The theatres are equipped with pioneering advanced surgical tools and robotic systems such as Mako Robotic arm technology which enhances precision in orthopaedic procedures. This enables minimally invasive procedures and faster recovery times.

Private patient rooms

Each room provides a peaceful and comfortable environment with a private ensuite bathroom, providing convenience and privacy for our patients. The rooms are equipped with TV and WiFi allowing patients to stay connected during their stay.

For the comfort of visitors, each room includes a pull-out bed for visitors.

The rooms are designed with patient comfort in mind, featuring modern furnishings and an ambiance to help patients feel at ease. Most of our rooms offer beautiful views over the countryside creating a calming atmosphere that promotes healing.

The day surgery beds are designed to provide a comfortable and efficient environment for patients undergoing minor surgical procedures. We have 22 day case beds and 28 inpatient bedrooms.

Modern diagnostic imaging services

We offer the latest diagnostic technologies so that our consultants can quickly refer, diagnose and treat with reassured accuracy.

Our radiological services include advanced MRI, CT, X-Ray, Inter-operative Image Intensifier and Ultrasound imaging technologies.

Our diagnostic centre ensures timely, precise and detailed diagnostic information.

Pharmacy

Our on-site pharmacy can supply patients with prescriptions received at the hospital. The pharmacy supplies medicines to every clinical department in the hospital doing daily ward and theatre rounds.

The pharmacy team ensure patients are comfortable with their dispensed medication before discharge and offers an aftercare telephone service for any medicine-related queries following treatment.

The medicines formulary used at the Sulis Hospital is produced by the Bath Clinical Area Partnership (BCAP). To find out more Click here.
