Sulis Hospital launches satellite clinic in Frome, expanding access to high quality care for NHS and private patients
Bath's Sulis Hospital is expanding its regional reach with a new satellite outpatient clinic at Frome Medical Practice, with the first clinic on 23 June 2025. This development will bring expert-led consultations across a range of specialities directly to the residents of Frome and the surrounding area, offering greater choice, faster access and reduced travel time for patients.
The Frome Satellite Clinic will offer consultations across a number of key specialities for adults, including:
- Orthopaedics (Hip, Knee and Spine Clinics)
- General Surgery (Colorectal, Hernia, Gallstones and 'Lumps and Bumps' Clinics)
- Ophthalmology (General Ophthalmology Clinic)
Assessments and X-rays will be carried out on-site in Frome, with any necessary pre-operative tests and surgery then taking place at the award-winning Sulis Hospital, located in Peasedown St John, Bath.
The Frome Clinic is open to both Private and NHS patients. NHS patients can choose Sulis Hospital for treatment via the e-Referral services (ERS), provided the clinic is appropriate for their condition and needs. The My Planned Care NHS website can provide additional information. Private patients (whether self-paying or using medical insurance) can book an initial consultation at Frome Medical Centre.

The Frome Satellite Clinic is based at Frome Medical Practice, Area 6 Satellite Clinic, Enos Wy, Frome, BA11 2FH. The clinic is easily accessible, with free on-site parking and good public transport links.
