Dr Beas Bhattacharya has been working for the NHS for 27 years and for the last 16 years as a consultant in diabetes and endocrinology. She sees her private patients at Sulis Hospital Bath.
Dr Bhattacharya has gathered an extensive wealth of experience and knowledge having worked at different Trusts, including the Birmingham Community Hospital, Great Western Hospital Swindon, Royal Sussex County Hospital and the Royal United Hospital Bath. Having been clinical lead for the department (2016-2019) as well as clinical lead for outpatient specialties at GWH, Swindon 2013-2016,
she was nominated for the Staff Excellence Award for Care and Compassion and nominated for Team of the Year 2013 and 2019 respectively.
Dr Bhattacharya has been Lead for Inpatient Diabetes, Diabetes Foot Service and Research & Development at the Royal United Hospital from 2021 to date.
Currently working as Acute physician at Great Western hospital, Swindon with an interest in Diabetes & Endocrinology. She is also lead for education in acute medicine, GWH Swindon.
She offers public lectures and private consultations at Sulis Hospital, Bath having received excellent feedbacks from her patients.
Her interests and expertise are in Thyroid, Adrenal, Calcium, Parathyroid, Testosterone Replacement, Hormone Replacements, Polycystic Ovary (PCOS) as well as management of and Management of Diabetes particularly Type 2 diabetes with newer therapeutic options.
