Mr John Budd

Mr Budd is a Consultant General and Vascular Surgeon at Sulis Hospital Bath. He has a particular interest in day case surgery, especially in ambulatory hernia repair under local anaesthetic. Over the last 10 years Mr Budd has performed well over 2500 hernia repairs the vast majority under local anesthetic. He also specialises in modern techniques for the treatment of varicose veins in particular the use of radiofrequency ablation.

He is an examiner and appraiser for the Royal College of Surgeons of England and has been since 2000. He is also a surgical skills tutor for the College and is actively involved in teaching both medical students and junior doctors having obtained a Certificate in Medical Education at the University of Bristol.
