Mr Mahesh Pai

Consultant Vascular and General Surgeon

Mr Pai is a Consultant Vascular and General Surgeon at Sulis Hospital Bath, with a particular interest in day case varicose veins surgery, specifically in developing percutaneous endo-venous treatment along with traditional surgery. Mr Pai also specialises in local anaesthetic ambulatory hernia repair.

After graduating in 1992, Mr Pai completed his surgical training in Bombay and Vascular training in Oxford, Bath and Australia. He has an endovascular fellowship from Adelaide, Australia specifically directed towards Endovascular treatment of Aortic Aneurysms (EVAR).

Mr Pai is committed to maintaining an excellent standard of care for patients through regular audit and patient feedback. He aims to make their experience as relaxed as possible.

Mr Pai is an examiner at the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. He is a surgical skills tutor for the College and is actively involved in teaching both medical students and junior doctors. He is also a surgical tutor for medical students at the RUH (Bristol University).
