Mr Mujahid El-Deen

Mr El-Deen is an established consultant orthopaedic surgeon specialising in hip surgery and knee surgery. With over 20 years’ experience in trauma and orthopaedics, Mr El-Deen has managed to master techniques to treat a variety of orthopaedic conditions, including acute trauma.

Mr El-Deen gained a Master’s degree in Orthopaedic Engineering, covering an understanding of the mechanics of joint replacement, implant designs, survival and development. Subsequently he has a particular sub speciality interest in in total joint surgery for both the hip and the knee replacements.

Mr El-Deen conducted his basic surgical training in Middlesbrough followed by specialist orthopaedic training in Liverpool.

Following this Mr El-Deen completed his Fellowship in primary and revision hip replacement, and subsequently four years later, obtained a Fellowship in paediatric orthopaedics.

In 2004 Mr El-Deen was appointed as a consultant trauma and orthopaedic surgeon in the NHS for over 8years. During his time within the NHS he was responsible for the continuous training of junior doctors, and medical students from Liverpool University and Glasgow University.

Mr El-Dean takes a proactive interest in clinic governance, latest technologies and innovative surgical methods. He regularly attends both national and international speciality conferences in order to maintain his clinical knowledge and practice methods.
